Ethereal vocal lines, pensive guitar sounds and atmospheric percussion effects – in its songs the Dutch trio Under the Surface dives into dreamy worlds. It unites three generations of Dutch musicians: singer Sanne Rambags, drummer and percussionist Joost Lijbaart and the guitar player Bram Stadhouders. In 2017 they released the first of their three albums to date and have been touring the world ever since. The musicians play their music, which seems to emerge from the silence, in living rooms or roof terraces as well as at large festivals. Their improvised music is open to all influences and so the band often has guest musicians with them on the stage. At the Morgenland Festival Osnabrück their guests include the young Syrian singer Abeer Albatal and others.
