Exciting things happen when the oldest instrument we know in human history, the human voice, meets the latest technological aspect of music making. It is that moment in contemporary music when the past meets the future effortlessly. This is what is expected when the Turkish-born, Brooklyn-based composer, guitarist, and producer Erdem Helvacioglu meets the Osnabrueck Youth Choir (led by Clemens Breitschaft) in a new collaboration that draws from an array of traditional European choir works from the repertoire and contemporary sounds from Istanbul to New York.

As a musical ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Osnabrück Youth Choir has traveled around the world and brought their art to Turkey, Syria/Jordan, Hungary, Austria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Ghana, and others. Erdem Helvacioglu is an award-winning composer, producer, and electronic music artist who has done extensive work for film, theater, dance, and the concert hall. He currently lives, works, and teaches in New York City.
